Quality is an operating philosophy of ICEL. One of the most relevant features in a knife is the cutting power. Icel controls the performance of their products by performing initial cutting power and cutting power retention tests. This gives the customer the guarantee of the cutting power durability and ability to replace it, through an appropriate process of sharpening.

Created in 1978, Bobet Matériel started in the family basement of the founder Jacques Bobet in Champagné. In 2009, Jérôme Bobet succeeded his father at the head of the family company.

Their chainmail products are machine made from superior quality steel to ensure consistent quality and durability. Once completed they are then carefully checked by hand to ensure that they comply with the strictest safety standards.

The Chainmail gloves come with a uniquely constructed stainless steel spring-loaded cuff for enhanced comfort and food safety as there are no material straps for bacteria to grow in or studs and buckles that can be cut off and end up in food.

Manulatex chainmail gloves and aprons are also expertly repaired in South Africa by ATK Products to ensure that the gloves remain in original condition to ensure operator safety.

Manulatex also provides various work aprons and sleeves for multiple industries such as the food industry, chemical industry and agriculture. These aprons and sleeves are made from advanced polymers such as Polyurethane which greatly increases food safety and the lifespan of the garment. Compared to PVC which starts to crack and flake after 2-4 months, exposing the woven material on the inside for bacteria to grow on, their polyurethane aprons provide a lifespan of up to 12 months with no cracking or peeling.
